Materiology Workshop

Materiology Workshop

Theory can only take you so far—real-life experience is what truly elevates your career. Our MATERIOLOGY workshop is designed to focus on the practical aspects of specifying materials and finishes with confidence. We’ll offer an in-depth exploration of various material types and their classifications, ensuring you understand how to select materials that are not only appropriate for your designs but also durable, long-lasting and within budget.
  • You’ll learn how to evaluate material performance, considering factors such as lifespan and environmental impact, so you can make informed choices for your clients. Additionally, we’ll guide you through the process of calculating costs to keep your projects within budget. By the end of the workshop, you’ll be equipped to create designs that secure client buy-in and earn the builder’s approval, all while staying on track financially.

  • The MATERIOLOGY workshop is aimed at emerging, established and diversifying designers, decorators, and design and decoration students. This includes architects, building designers, documenters, specifiers, and builders. The workshop assumes a base knowledge of materials and finishes and is intended to build on those learnings.

  • New workshop date to be announced soon! See our socials to stay up to date.

  • We can’t tell you that just yet, but we can tell you it will be design inspired and filled with the prettiest things to elevate your learning.
